Entrepreneur Mastermind Podcast

Welcome to the Entrepreneur Mastermind Podcast! One of the most powerful ways you can grow your business and expand your knowledge is by having a mastermind group of people who come together to share their business experiences, struggles and solutions with each other. We wanted to document this process by making our mastermind public and completely transparent. Initially this podcast was called Entreprogrammers since we were a group of entrepreneur programmers starting our first businesses, but since then several people have left and new people have joined and we’ve rebooted the podcast as the Entrepreneur Mastermind Podcast.

The EntreProgrammers Episode 23 SouthWest Nightmare

John’s plane, finally getting ready for takeoff, showed another delay in flight plans when the Captain left the bridge; shivers down your backbone when you find out why.

Derick is getting enormous response on ideas developing Signalleaf…and where did the name Signalleaf come from? Ask Derick to share the answer. He shares a little family history about the room he’s in, his father’s office in Kansas which used to be a …

Many friends of The EntreProgrammers Podcast have listened to all 22 episodes (now 23) and there are some who listen to an episode more than once.

And when you do a mathematical projection, the number of loyal friends turn-out to be quite nice for The EntreProgrammers – here to help you anyway they can. So, who has the highest numbers John, Derick or Josh? They show the focus not to be numbers; the focus is you.

Speaking of mathematical computations, Josh jumps in with staggering numbers that he has been working with this past week – numbers in the hundreds of thousands. A rather interesting point comes-up: Should I do away with my list and create another; or, should I forge ahead with the one I’m currently using? The EntreProgrammers have the solution.

How do you juggle the mix? Advice from John and Derick on how to produce a video that promotes your product in high quality helps Josh find solutions. A great place to start: have a good editor.

The EntreProgrammers Episode 22 Brains Are For What?

Derick takes control of the show, but appears to be unplugged. Ah, yes, the wonders of technological advancement.

And into John’s book they go; the editors have spoken and John defends his writing approach. And what’s that, brains are…?

The editors think that it’s a bit much, in places, needs a trim. Josh quickly jumps in with the solution and John saves all. Derick recommends that John keeps all of his information, but in a slightly different way.

The EntreProgrammers are on the attack – solution time.

And if anything needs a solution, it’s how to pay bills; to budget or not to budget; that is the question, here.

John explains in detail that there are times when a person should watch her/his dollar very closely; but, there are also times when a person can’t really afford to watch her/his budget closely, nor does it pay to do so.

This is The EntreProgrammers’ financial philosophy – some good advice, here. Another interesting point of view comes from Derick who has become, perhaps, the wealthiest member in his family, now.

Not only does Derick explore marketing tactics, but also explains that you must learn how to deal with the money that you make when becoming a successful entrepreneur. Once again this marketing warrior teaches us through his good example.

Derick tells it all; information to learn.

“Have you ever played Cash Flow 101?” John asked. Well if you haven’t you probably should; your kids can play along with you – okay, you can check it out, here:

Just exactly what should I do with this dollar, and the next one, too? In addition, this game “applies to real life.” How should we spend our money? The EntreProgrammers tell us.

The next big question: How did Josh collect over 300,000 email addresses? Stay tuned, Josh will tell it all – the phenomenal marketing arena of Josh Earl – http://SitePoint.com editor.

The EntreProgrammers Episode 21 Josh’s Numbers

In Episode 20, it was argued that having a sale was an arbitrary adventure; it doesn’t matter when you have a sale, and in a global market, especially don’t have a sale over the 4th of July. John’s numbers in his 4th of July sale seems to blow this theory apart.

John finished his book, a huge accomplishment. Why feelings of depression? John explains post-goal depression, something we all need to be aware of. When you should be celebrating the achievement of your goal, you’re not. Why is that?

Josh offers John advice regarding research. Josh is a magazine article writer requiring a great deal of research for every story. When is your research complete?

Then Derick explains that he doesn’t like to do research unless there is something to be solved by doing the research. John uses an experience he’s had with blogs to put forth the idea of recharging – getting more ideas to write about.

Josh talks about his numbers which have sky rocketed. How did you do it, Josh? He goes in depth to share his secrets. In a surprising business marketing twist, The EntreProgrammers tell you how to buy a car.

The EntreProgrammers go to baseball: When should you get a base hit and when should you swing for the boards? In this hypothetical analogy to marketing, using Josh’s success, they provide insight on a home run situation versus a base hit.

Let’s turn to Derick, who now has a rather stressful situation at hand. The EntreProgrammers dig in to dig Derick out. They have a solution.

The Entreprogrammers Episode 20 Josh’s Favorite Marketing Podcast

“You are the only person that has your experience so you should be sharing that with people.” Entreprogrammer Derick Bailey (Signalleaf.com Podcast Site)

And so it goes…

John has big news. Josh is M.I.A. You are the fly on the wall. This Master Mind Session is recorded live to share with you, promoting you living independently.

The Entreprogrammers begin their 20th episode of total transparency and complete vulnerability in the analytic arena of marketing, promotion and public relations.

John expresses, perhaps, having a 4th of July sale was a “bad thing.” Derick questions why have a 4th of July sale at all, especially in a global market where 70% of the world could care less about America’s independence.

Derick has a great way of proving his theory that having a sale is an arbitrary marketing strategy. His substantial proof, based on his children, will have you laughing your ___ off.

But the whole idea of living an independent life – and sharing it with you – is always at the heart and soul of The Entreprogrammers. It’s all about you.

Speaking of you, The Entreprogrammers now discuss their huge list of subscribers and how they continue to make it grow. How do these guys do it? Derick tells how, in detail. Josh tells how to determine cost per acquisition. Just how much does it cost to get 1 person to subscribe?

What is the Title of John’s New Book?

Another thing you can take to the bank is John’s book – he finished writing it. His editors and consultants have their hands on it now – stay tuned for a book launch coming your way in the form of 73 chapters and about 150,000 words. In John’s words, “That’s a lot of work!”
