Welcome to the Entrepreneur Mastermind Podcast! One of the most powerful ways you can grow your business and expand your knowledge is by having a mastermind group of people who come together to share their business experiences, struggles and solutions with each other. We wanted to document this process by making our mastermind public and completely transparent. Initially this podcast was called Entreprogrammers since we were a group of entrepreneur programmers starting our first businesses, but since then several people have left and new people have joined and we’ve rebooted the podcast as the Entrepreneur Mastermind Podcast.

Episode 139 “Spin-off”

We’re Live! With a new 1 hour format. John says we should beat up Bernie supporters. because they are weenies. John talks about the new ideas for the creating a spin-off group who are similar to the original mastermind of EntreProgrammers.

Derick talks about already starting in other Slack/Mastermind group. Derick talks about the big name groups and process of the new mastermind.

Josh suggests having the spin-off shows on the same feed. John suggests sharing the website hosting of the website. Chuck suggests perhaps creating a paid type of mastermind to create a serious and working group.

John talks about maybe charging 50 bucks a month, and create an application process to group people together.  The EntreProgarmmers talk about how they can help with the process of creating the new spin offs, and paying for a portion of the cost for podcast production.

Chuck suggests that Derick should do both types of production if he can. John suggests to continue looking  at what Wes Bos is doing. Derick mentions that he does not want to alienate his current subscribers in that area.

Episode 138 “Debbie Downer”

And the dumpster is on fire..   Derick talks about laughing a docker  management cheat sheet for Watch Me Code. Derick says this is publish along with his ebooks an such. So far he has   170 downloads since a day ago. Derick says he did notice that people have been using junk email address, just to get the download file.

Derick says he got some good feedback through the Watch Me Code Slack channel. Derick talks about his further plans for the features he want to add to Watch Me Code.  Derick says he want to use Twitter to help with the Docker.

Derick mentions that he has been doing a lot of video editing, since he doesn’t have an editor anymore. But he is noticing things he can improve on. Derick also is seeing new subscriber on the annual package.

Derick mention that he is going to wait and see if the changes he made to his site, are going to payoff in the next few weeks.  Josh says it is interesting to see the monthly signup compared to before. The EntreProgrammers talk about the monthly plans verses the annual plans.

John suggests changing up the EntreProgrammers theme song to a dumpster theme song. Derick talks about his parents visiting and introducing them to new technology.

Episode 136  “Bubba Don’t Play Dat!”

EntreProgrammers give Josh a hard time  about facial hair. John talks about the golden age of 36. John share that he is going to be running a half marathon in San Jose CA. Chuck mentions that he is at Microsoft Ignite. Chuck gives the variety of sessions at the convention.

Chuck mention that he made 300 dollars on this independence sale. He is not sure what he did wrong. Derick thinks he was discounting to many products, so them people are not sure about the sale.

Chuck talks about one of his hires, Bubba. Who is suppose to be the social media expert. Chuck is having a rough time getting feedback from Bubba. Everyone says to urgently fire Bubba.

Josh ask what are the exact duties of Bubba’s job, then post the job on UpWork, and hire 5 people to audition for the job. Chuck ask what should he tell her next?

John says to have a standard level for new hires, like Rodrigo at Simple Programmer.  Chuck talks about the task that Bubba is doing that might be in progress. John talks about the tasks he eventually had Rodrigo take over.
